Tauck Eliminates or Reduces Single Supplements in 2023
When I learned that Tauck, a luxury travel company, will offer greatly reduced single supplements on their land tours and no single supplements on Europe river cruises in 2023, I wanted to share the news.
As a solo traveler, I’m always on the lookout for travel deals with either a reduced or waived single supplement.
As Tauck approaches its Centennial birthday, it continues to be a leader in upscale guided land journeys, river & ocean cruises, as well as their portfolio of Tauck Bridges guided family travel adventures.
Now, in 2023, Tauck has once again eliminated or reduced the single supplement for solo travelers. Single supplements are entirely waived on all Category 1 riverboat cabins.
The single supplement is waived on 250 Tauck river cruise departures next year.

Tauck has also reduced the single supplement by $1,000 on other selected cabin categories on 63 departures of 20 different river itineraries.
Tauck CEO, Dan Mahar, shared how he is “… excited to eliminate or dramatically reduce the single supplement on so many of our journeys, yet the financial savings are just one of several reasons why Tauck is so popular with solo travelers. Our trips provide a wonderful sense of assurance and support that our solo guests truly appreciate, and many say they feel like ‘part of the family’ when they travel with us.”

Here are some of the amazing discounts Tauck will offer:
- Land journeys: reduced up to $1,000 on over 176 departures of 63 itineraries to five continents.
- Select Cabin Categories: reduced up to $1,000 on 63 departures of 20 river itineraries.
- North America: reduced up to $1,000 on over 40 departures of 15 tours.
- Europe: reduced up to $400 on over 45 departures of 19 land tours.
- Exotics (Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Latin America): reduced up to $600 on 22 departures of 9 tours.
“And of course,” Mahar continued, “planning a solo trip with Tauck is as simple as selecting the itinerary and the departure date. All the advance planning and other tasks that would normally fall squarely on the shoulders of a solo traveler – all the choreography, all the hotel and restaurant reservations, all the on-site transportation, navigation and more – they’re all expertly handled by Tauck. It’s hard to put a real value on a relaxing, enriching, and memorable travel experience,” Mahar concluded, “and while the monetary savings are great, in some ways they’re really just the icing on the cake.”
Tauck’s incredible attention to detail for every solo passenger not only sets the standard for solo cruising in 2023 but allows the individual explorer more economic freedom to get out and experience the world with ease, access, and enjoyment.
Founded in 1925, Tauck is a world leader in upscale guided travel, with more than 150 land tours, safaris, river cruises and small ship ocean cruises to 70+ countries and all seven continents.
