Princess Ship Begins Inaugural Cruise from Singapore to Alaska
Recently refurbished, the 2,600 passenger Princess Cruises Golden Princess embarked on a first-time ever cruise from Singapore to Alaska.
Multi-million dollar enhancements can be found throughout the ship. Sabatini’s, Princess’s signature Italian restaurant is now called Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria. The restaurant has a fresh new look and a brand new menu. Hands-on pasta-making classes will also be offered to guests.
Movies Under the Stars, Princess Cruises’ outdoor cinema, has been refitted with a new screen that will deliver two times the picture definition as before. A new sound system has also been added. The shopping area has also been enhanced.
Golden Princess now has Princess Luxury Beds that replaced the previous beds in all the staterooms and suites.
Inaugural cruise details
Due to a growing demand from Asian passengers, Princess Cruises created this 29-day inaugural cruise from Singapore to Alaska.
After departure from Singapore, this extended, 29-day cruise will visit 11 ports including Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hong Kong, Taipei, Busan, Osaka, Shimizu, Yokohama, Sakaiminato, Hakodate and Muroran. The ship will then cross the International Date Line and head to Anchorage for arrival on May 12, 2018.
Combined with this 29-day cruise is a seven-day Alaska cruise, both of which are sold out. From Anchorage, the ship continues a southbound Alaska cruise with visits and/or stops in Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay, Skagway, Juneau and finally into Vancouver.
After a season of cruising Alaska, Golden Princess will reposition to Australia in September.
