Royal Caribbean Adds Two Calls to Perfect Day At CocoCay

I’m not sure for whom this new Perfect Day at CocoCay itinerary will benefit:  Royal Caribbean’s coffers or their passengers’ affinity for another beach day. Either way, it’s likely to be a win-win.

Perfect Day at CocoCay Encore

Royal Caribbean just announced that they’ll add over 40 cruises that include two visits to their recently enhanced Perfect Day at CocoCay private island destination.

These special Perfect Day departures begin on September 30 this year and  include Mariner of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas.

For example, on September 30, Mariner of the Seas will leave from Port Canaveral on a 4-night cruise. First to CocoCay then Nassau followed by a return trip to CocoCay. Both visits to Perfect Day at CocoCay will be from 7am until 5pm.

On the next three-night cruise, Mariner of the Seas will call at Nassau then CocoCay and back to Port Canaveral.

For Navigator of the Seas from  Miami, the 3-night cruises will also call at Nassau but the stop at CocoCay will run from 8am to 10PM. Plenty of time for guests to buy in to the special attractions.

I don’t mean to sound harsh but if I spent over $250 million to spruce up my private island, I’d want my visitors stay longer and spend more money to help me recoup the expenses.

New attractions at Perfect Day

Some of the new additions are new dining choices, a tethered hot air balloon ride, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, more daring waterslides and a 1,600-foot zip line course.

If  you can wait a little longer, later this year Royal Caribbean will open their new Beach Club with over-water cabanas and an infinity pool.

For those who choose the three-night Navigator of the Seas from Miami, you can expect to be treated to what Royal Caribbean calls a Bahamian Junkanoo Jam up Party. There will also be the usual island BBQ and live calypso music. To cap off your Perfect Day at CocoCay, there’ll be a farewell fireworks show just before sailaway.
