Carnival Vista Refurbishment Includes New Exterior Colors, Bars, Shops and More
Carnival Vista is slowly returning to its homeport at Port Canaveral, Fla. following a 30-day dry dock in Spain. The cruise ship received extensive refurbishments and enhancements and is now crossing the Atlantic en route to Central Florida.
Here’s what you’ll see when you step onboard Carnival Vista.
Carnival Vista Refurbishment and Enhancements
The ship’s exterior now has Carnival’s signature red, white and blue hull. Moving indoors, Carnival added a new bar & lounge, retail stores, a teen club, arcade and expanded casino.
Among several interior public areas refreshed, one of the most significant new features is the addition of a Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge. Carnival plans to add this new venue across the Carnival fleet. It’s theme is to honor military veterans and active-duty service members.
The Carnival Vista refurbishment saw the casino expanded with a new layout. A separate non-smoking annex has also been added.
For shoppers, there’s an all-new Effy Jewelry store and a flashy new Cherry on Top. For teens, a new Club O2 was created in a new location. The ship’s arcade was relocated and redone as well. The Lido Marketplace also has a fresh new look.
The 4,000-passenger Carnival Vista will cruise year-round from Port Canaveral. Itineraries are mostly six- and eight-day cruises that feature a day at Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos; Aruba; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Maarten and St. Thomas.
Launched in 2016, Carnival Vista has all the bells and whistles that you’d expect on a Carnival ship, including the 3D Thrill Theatre and the daring SkyRide bike course on the top deck.
There are themed accommodations like the Havana staterooms and suites with a Cuban flair. There’s also a nautical decor of the Family Harbor staterooms and suites located near the Family Harbor lounge.
For dining and snacks, Vista offers 14 distinct eateries from casual burgers at Guy Fieri’s Burger Joint to the upscale Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse.
Carnival Vista is now the fourth Carnival ship to sail from Port Canaveral, on Florida’s Space Coast. The other three ships include Carnival Freedom, Carnival Liberty and Mardi Gras.
