Cruise News: MSC Seaview Christening with Sophia Loren
MSC Seaview christening ceremony was presided over once again by Sophia Loren in Genoa over the weekend. This was the 13th time for Sophia Loren to be godmother to an MSC cruise ship.
Unlike previous MSC christening extravaganzas, Andrea Bocelli was not on the performance line-up. Instead, his son, Matteo Bocelli, had the honors to sing during the Officers’ Parade, a traditional component of an MSC christening.
Also present at the MSC Seaview christening ceremony was Ramon Freixa, the Spanish two Michelin-starred chef who has entered into a partnership with MSC Cruises for his first restaurant at sea on board MSC Seaview. Pan-Asian chef Roy Yamaguchi, attended his second MSC Cruises’ ship christening to celebrate his second restaurant at sea, the first being on MSC Seaside. Other stars in attendance include Spanish model and actor Jon Kortajarena, Brazlian presenter and actor Giovanna Ewbank and French television personality Ariane Brodier.
