Nassau to build multi-million dollar water park
Nassau Cruise Port is planning a new leisure facility that is expected to create more than 300 new jobs.
Nassau Port management has announced the completion of pre-construction work for a new $35 million water park complex.
Port CEO Mike Maura mentioned that the construction will take approximately 18 months to finish.
“This will add a significant number of jobs at the port. A best-in-class experience,” Maura said.
Maura also highlighted that this new venue will address the need for a ‘family-friendly’ attraction close to the cruise port.
“Many of the experiences currently available are adult-oriented. We intend to focus on families,” he added.
In December, Nassau Cruise Port set a daily record with nearly 30,000 visitors.
Port officials predict that Nassau is on track to handle over five million guest arrivals this year.
