Princess Cruises Completes First Alaska Sailing
Majestic Princess docked in Seattle on August 31, after sailing a round-trip, seven-night cruise to Alaska. This cruise marked Princess Cruises first successful departure from the United States since cruising came to a halt in March 2020.
Princess Cruises’ Majestic Princess will salvage what is left of the short Alaska cruise season. Cruises to Alaska usually begin in mid- to late-April and end sometime in September.
The Inside Passage cruise visited Glacier Bay National Park, Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan. The once-required foreign port call in Canada was waived.
Throughout the summer, Majestic Princess offers passengers an array of Alaska-themed activities while cruising between the three ports.
Princess calls it their, “North to Alaska” program. Local celebrities, cultural enrichment and Alaska seafood are just part of the Alaska immersive experience.
Majestic Princess Onboard Activities
In addition, there’s Princess’ Signature specialty dining, Movies Under the Stars, production shows and Discovery@SEA programs. Performances include original made-for-Princess musicals, magic shows, feature films, comedians and passenger participation game shows.

For the remainder of this year, Majestic Princess offers seven-night cruises with Sunday departures from Seattle through September 26, 2021.
Princess Cruises Fall Cruise COVID Requirements
Princess Cruises will sail from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Ft. Lauderdale from September 25 through November 28, 2021. Eight Princess MedallionClass ships will head to the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico, Hawaii, and the California Coast.
All Princess cruises sailings through 2021 require that guests have received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start of the cruise. They must also show proof of vaccination. Crew vaccinations will be in accordance with CDC guidelines.
Princess MedallionClass Explained
MedallionClass ships (like Majestic Princess) offer a touchless experience by giving each guest a “medallion” wearable device. This disc replaces what cruisers know as a traditional cruise card. It also acts as sort of a homing device so if you order a drink, the server can find you! More MedallionClass features include:

During the pandemic, guests can cancel for any reason up to 30 days before departure and receive a Future Cruise Credit for any cancellation fees and a refund of additional funds received to the original payment method.
