Lindblad Expeditions has announced their plans for two ships acquired from Celebrity Cruises in June. The former Xpedition and Xploration will be renamed National Geographic Gemini and National Geographic Delfina, set to start service in early 2025 sailing in the Galapagos Islands.

The inaugural season for these expedition vessels has been revealed, with packages available for booking on Lindblad’s website. Guests can choose from ten to 16-day packages exploring the Ecuadorian archipelago and other areas of South America.

The Xploration will debut first for Lindblad Expeditions, offering a new itinerary for 16 guests starting on February 14, 2025. The Delfina will provide an intimate Galapagos experience with a ten-day package including flights to and from the archipelago and a two-night stay in Ecuador.

The Xpedition will follow on March 14, 2025, offering seven-night cruises with two overnight stays in Ecuador and flights between the Galapagos and the mainland. This 48-guest ship will have year-round itineraries visiting North Seymour, Fernandina, Espaรฑola, and Isabela.

Guests onboard the Gemini (also offered by National Geographic Endeavour) can observe wildlife in the Galapagos Marine Reserve and participate in activities like paddleboarding, zodiac cruises, and glass-bottom boat tours. Passengers can also add a six-day land extension to Machu Picchu in Peru to their ten-day cruise package.
