How Do You Create the Largest Sushi Roll at Sea?
In case you missed it, last week on June 18 was International Sushi Day. And Holland America was not about to let this day pass by unnoticed.
To get a jump start on the upcoming Sushi Day, Culinary Council Member Andy Matsuda aboard the Koningsdam, created the Largest Sushi Roll at Sea on a June 9 cruise in Norway. After all, this was a special Food & Beverage Aficionado Cruise.
Called the โWorld Mega Roll,โ the monster roll measured 49 feet long before getting rolled. It wasย 3.3 feet wide and used 70 pounds of sushi rice.
The onboard event took place around the Lido Pool so everyone could watch as Chef’s team pitched in while under his watchful gaze.
