Holland America Reveals New Pacific Coast and Mexico Cruises in 2025-2026

New Holland America Pacific Coast cruises will ply British Columbia’s narrow Inside Passage on a unique Great Bear Rainforest itinerary! Plus more unique Coastal routes.

Holland America announced its  2025-2026 Mexico and Pacific Coastal cruise seasons. New to the line are extended stays in Loreto and Topolobampo, Mexico. Their new week-long Great Bear Rainforest cruise travels through the heart of British Columbia’s remote waterways. 

Holland America’s New Great Bear Rainforest and Pacific Coastal Voyages

These new voyages depart from August 2025 to May 2026 from as little as a one-day cruise to an exciting 29-day Collectors’ Voyage.

Holland America will head into British Columbia’s inland waterways on the seven-day “Great Bear Rainforest” itinerary. This area of Canadian islands is known for its wildlife that includes moose, wolves, deer and grizzly bears.

There’s even a chance to spot elusive spirit bears; white-colored bears considered sacred to Canada’s First Nation. 

If you want to take part in this unique and rarely offered itinerary, there are only two departures scheduled; October 5, 2025 and April 19, 2026. Both cruises are round-trip from Seattle and head north for a day in Ketchikan, Alaska. 

After a day in the Salmon Capital of the World,  you’ll cruise south to Prince Rupert for one overnight. In the morning, scenic cruising begins through the Greenville Channel and onward to Johnstone Strait and the Seymour Narrows. It’s through this passage that you may spot the mysterious Kermode bear, or Spirit Bear. There’s also a chance to spot whales on their migration routes between Mexico and Alaska.

Launched in 2006, Noordam was refurbished in 2019 and accommodates up to 1,972 guests. The ship will make its maiden call at Nanaimo before the last port of Victoria, B.C. If there’s time, be sure to visit world-famous Butchart Gardens with its 900-varieties of flowers and plants.

Pacific Coast Itineraries

Sailing from San Diego, Noordam will offer 10 more unique cruises along the Pacific Coast. These departures will visit several coastal ports on the way to either Seattle or Vancouver, Canada. Among the ports are Astoria, Oregon; Santa Barbara, California and Ensenada, Mexico. A handful of departures include an overnight in San Francisco. 

Holland America’s Sea of Cortez Cruises 

Departing from San Diego, you’ll have a choice of either round-trip to or from San Diego to Vancouver and back or one-way to Vancouver. 

No matter which cruise route you choose, Holland America’s ships head to the most popular ports along the Mexican coast including Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. In the Sea of Cortez, the ship visits Guaymas and Santa Rosalia in Mexico. 

Some of these itineraries will even make evening calls at Loreto and Topolobampo, Mexico.

Holland America Pacific Coast Cruises Highlights for 2025-2026

• Five Holland America ships are slated for Pacific Coastal cruises. These ships include Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam and Zaandam.
• Pacific Coast cruises are either roundtrip from Vancouver, Seattle or San Diego. One-way cruises shuttle between Seattle or San Diego and Vancouver.
• Short on time? Choose from several one-day “Pacific Northwest” getaways between Vancouver and Seattle for a snapshot preview of Holland America.
• The Pacific Coastal itineraries range from four, five and six days and sail between San Diego and Vancouver. The four-day cruise adds a call at Avalon or Santa Barbara CA while the five-day cruise stops for a day in San Francisco. The six-day cruise has the overnight in San Francisco.
• Great Bear Rainforest cruise is seven day, roundtrip from Seattle and stops at Ketchikan, Prince Rupert, Nanaimo, and Victoria.
• A four-day California Retreat cruise is roundtrip from San Diego leaving on Oct. 21, 2025, and includes the ports of Ensenada, Mexico plus Avalon and Santa Barbara, California.
• There’s one four-day round-trip departure from Vancouver on April 29, 2026 and heads south from Vancouver to Astoria, Oregon and Victoria, B.C.
• Wine Country and Pacific Northwest leaves from San Diego for Vancouver. This six-day cruise stops at Victoria and overnights in San Francisco. If you choose the seven-day departure, you’ll also visit Avalon and Astoria plus a stop in Victoria with a late-night departure. 
• The Classic California Coast itinerary is seven days round-trip from San Diego with stops at Avalon, and overnight in San Francisco and the required service call in Ensenada.

Highlights of the 2025-2026 Mexico Season

Both Nieuw Amsterdam and Zaandam will offer Mexico cruises. Departures are either round-trip from San Diego or one-way between San Diego and Vancouver.

Seven-day Mexican Riviera cruises offer visits to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas. Choose the seven-day Baja Peninsula cruise and you’ll stop at La Paz, Loreto and Cabo San Lucas.

Longer Mexican Riviera and Sea of Cortez Cruises

There’s a 10-day Mexican Riviera and Sea of Cortez itinerary that includes the same five of the ports on the seven-day itineraries plus a late-night call in Loreto. The 11-day voyage adds Manzanillo, Mexico while the 12-day adds scenic cruising Bahia Magdalena.

Departing from San Diego, this 11-day Mexican Riviera and Pacific Coast cruise includes the ports of Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. Then the ship turns north with stops in Avalon en route to Vancouver.

The 12-day Historic Baja Peninsula visits a whopping eight ports in Mexico that includes Santa Rosalia, Guaymas, Loreto Topolobampo, La Paz, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.

Even Longer Collectors’ Voyage Cruises

Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam and Zaandam will sail a total of 15 Collectors’ Voyages. These back-to-back, non-repeating itineraries give passengers time to explore the Pacific Coast, Mexico and even Hawaii all in one cruise. Collectors’ Voyages range from 14 to 29 days.
