Princess Cruises Breaks Pizza Party World Record

In celebration of a new partnership with Chef Tony Gemignani, the 13-time World Pizza Champion, Princess Cruises has set a new Guinness World Record title for the “World’s Largest Pizza Party.” The event took place across multiple venues aboard its fleet, with guests enjoying more than 60,000 slices of fresh-from-the-oven pizza prepared by the line’s master chefs.

Chef Gemignani has crafted two exclusive pizzas for Princess, featuring savory flavors and high-quality ingredients such as Soppressata sausage, hot honey, agave pesto, and fresh goat cheese. Additionally, he shared recipes for three of his award-winning pizzas, solidifying Princess Cruises’ reputation for offering the Best Pizza at Sea.

“There was great excitement on board as Princess Cruises set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the World’s Largest Pizza Party,” said Callie Smith, Adjudicator from Guinness World Records.

Chef Gemignani’s pizzas will first debut at Alfredo’s on the new Sun Princess. They will then be available across the entire fleet this summer. Chef Gemignani provided hands-on training to Princess chefs at his Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco and onboard Princess ships, ensuring the pizzas are prepared to perfection, just like his original, hand-crafted creations.
