Norwegian Cruise Line Cancels All Cruises Through December 2020
Norwegian Cruise Line cancels all cruises for the rest of this year. Under the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings umbrella, Oceania and Regent Seven Seas cruise cancellations extend through December, too.
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Cancellations
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ cruise cancellations follow the U.S. Centers for Disease and Control announcing on October 30, 2020 of a framework for “conditional sailing.” The CDC has issued this Order with a list of requirements that must be met for the resumption of cruises in the U.S.
The CDC outlines in their “roadmap” of what cruise lines must do even before passengers are allowed on board.

How to get a refund if your Norwegian cruise was canceled
Keeping with Norwegian Cruise Line’s most recent suspension refund, compensation, and commission policies, their newest December processes are spelled out in detail.
Those with current bookings affected by the December cruise cancellations will receive a refund of 100% of the fare paid. The refund will post on the original form of payment. This process will be automatic and nothing needs to be done to get your refund.
Refunds will be processed by Norwegian no later than November 23, 2020. From then, it’s usually another 7-10 business days until the refund will appear on your credit card.
If you booked your cruise using a Future Cruise Credit
For reservations paid using a previously issued FCC, 100% of the FCC used will be re-applied to your Latitudes account by November 11, 2020. Again, this process is automatic and no further action is needed.
If you want to rebook a future cruise, Norwegian is offering a 10% discount for any published cruise from January 1, 2021 through the end of the year. The discount will automatically go to your Latitudes account by November 5, 2020. You’ll have up to one year from date of issue to apply it to a future cruise.
Your 10% Discount coupon is:
โข Combinable with all current promotions at time of booking
โข Combinable with other FCCs
โข Valid one year from issue date and can be applied to published sailings from January 1, 2021 through and including December 31, 2022
What happens if you book and then want to cancel
Norwegian’s “Peace of Mind” policy is extended to include new and existing bookings. They must be made by November 30, 2020 for any cruise through and including October 31, 2021. You may cancel without penalty up to 15 days in advance of embarkation.
Also, the cruise line’s 60-Day Final Payment Policy extends through departures through and including April 30, 2021.
