Carnival Glory receives prestigious award from American Culinary Federation

One comment I hear quite often is, “Why should I pay extra for dinner when the main dining room is free?” The Emerald Room Steakhouse on the Carnival Glory offers a very simple explanation; award-winning cuisine, exceptional service and recognition from the American Culinary Federation. 

Recently, Carnival Glory’s Emerald Room steakhouse earned top honors from the American Culinary Federation (ACF), the largest organization of professional chefs in North America.

The Emerald Room received the ACF’s Achievement in Excellence award recognizing the intimate 108-seat restaurant for its superior cuisine and quality service. The steakhouse has been a huge hit with Carnival Glory guests since the ship’s debut in 2003. Guests can choose from a variety of steaks, tantalizing appetizers and entrees and delicious desserts. The exceptional wine list was chosen by Carnival chefs.

Carnival Glory guests can request Emerald Room Steakhouse reservations in advance by going to Carnival.com and clicking on “Manage My Cruise.” Next, click on “Access My Cruise” and follow the instructions. From there you can book your specialty dining reservation and have your dining date and time confirmed before you leave home. The $35 fee includes an appetizer, entrée, dessert and the waitstaffs’ gratuity.

Not all of the Carnival ships have a steakhouse. Reservation requests can be made for steakhouse restaurants aboard: Carnival Spirit, Carnival Pride, Carnival Legend, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Glory, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Valor, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Splendor, Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic. Requested dates and times are on a first come, first serve basis.

Carnival Glory, currently on a schedule of four- to seven-day voyages from New York, will undergo an extensive dry dock in November that will add a number of bar, dining and entertainment innovations that are part of the line’s Fun Ship 2.0 enhancement program. Following the two-week dry dock, Carnival Glory will launch a winter schedule of week-long Caribbean cruises from Miami beginning November 18.
