Glad my information was helpful. You’re right…it can get chilly on deck at night. But I’ve done crossings in late June and it was foggy and damp and in the 70s the entire way across. I’d bring only one or two short sleeved tops…and definitely a sweater and a light jacket. If you have room, I’d suggest a warm hat like a knit cap. If you decide to walk the promenade (3 times around is one mile) it gets chilly on the shady side of the ship and it can be pretty windy too. Have a wonderful cruise!

Thanks for all the great info on the QM2, Sherry. We will be sailing on her on July 6 and this will be the first time crossing on the northern route. Any advise on what to expect weather wise? I’ve read peoples remarks about almost freezing to death and am a little concerned. So much for all the short sleeved tops I was expecting to pack.

Sherry, I LOVE those single red chairs along deck 2! My favorite, especially early in the AM-so quiet and the view is awesome. Great article.
