More “firsts” for Carnival Horizon with the addition of an expanded Bonsai Sushi restaurant; the cruise line’s first teppanyaki dining option. Called Bonsai Teppanyaki, it’s a Benihana-style Asian dining experience within Bonsai Sushi restaurant, Carnival’s à la carte Asian venue.

There will be two eight-person teppanyaki tables where diners watch their meals prepared table-side by an enthusiastic chef who adds a bit of fun and flourish to the preparation. At Bonsai Teppanyaki, the chef will prepare the main course on a grill-top that features a selection of meats, tofu, fish, shrimp, lobster or veggies.

Located on the Promenade Deck, the Carnival Horizon Bonsai Sushi restaurant offers sushi rolls, sashimi, bento boxes, choice of Asian soups (try the Miso soup!), sakes and original desserts. Bonsai Sushi will be open for lunch and dinner.

The 133,500 ton ship, Carnival Horizon is scheduled to launch in Spring 2018. The first cruise for Carnival Horizon departs Barcelona on April 2, 2018  for a 12-day Mediterranean cruise. On May 9, 2018, Carnival Horizon will cross the Atlantic on a 14-night cruise from Barcelona to New York.

There will be a series of four- and eight-night cruises from New York until September when Carnival Horizon moves to its homeport of Miami.

Carnival Horizon, like sister ship Carnival Vista, will also offer Havana suites, a sequestered stateroom area with unique Cuban décor. There will also be Cloud 9 Spa staterooms and suites that offer exclusive spa amenities.
