Hi Isabella,
Thank you for reading my article and sending your question. Yes, Wonder of the Seas sounds spectacular! A late spring crossing can be a little chilly mid-Atlantic., I’ve sailed a dozen mid-April crossings to Barcelona (and beyond) from Florida and the weather has been lovely. (The other dozen crossings were in the fall!)

Here are two links to transatlantic posts that may have some helpful hints. In the Koningsdam article, and through the links, in the photos you can see how everyone was dressed in Malaga and Cartegena, Spain…as well as onboard during the springtime crossing. If you’re stopping in the Azores, it could be a warm drizzly day or bright sun. Either way, it won’t be too cold to enjoy your day.

Passengers will still be sitting around the pool, even if it’s chilly!

Have a wonderful crossing aboard the new ship! I haven’t heard of any itinerary changes yet…fingers crossed! And thank you again for reading my article…much appreciated!

As an occasional cruiser, I am booked for the first time on the upcoming new Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas for first transatlantic repositioning 14 day cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona on April 20th, 2022 (of course always hoping it will still be sailing). BTW this new vessel sounds very impressive in offerings and we are 4 senior ladies looking so forward to trip.

As not certain of weather conditions, it would appear that various clothing will required. Not certain if pool time is on tap for mid-trip, however the ports in Spain will be warmer.

Can you assist in clothing packing guidance?

Kindest regards,
Isabella
