A cruise line recently made a change to their booking process for guests booking while on a cruise. This change took effect on July 1, 2024.

Going forward, all payments for future cruises on a Cunard cruise ship must be made using a credit card reader. This applies to all payments made through the cruise lineโ€™s Onboard Sales team, including new bookings, existing bookings, and upgrades while on board.

Instead of using POLAR Online, guests will now need to insert their credit card into the card readers for payments. Upon making a booking, guests will initially see a payment of $0, which may take up to seven days to process.

Once the payment is applied, guests will receive a revised booking confirmation indicating the onboard payment made. Travel agents are also asked to provide both copies of the confirmation to their clients.

In addition, the cruise line will no longer accept onboard payments for Future Cruise Deposits starting July 1, 2024. Guests will only receive onboard booking benefits when booking a future voyage.

Cunard has not made any changes to their cancellation policies. Cunard Line is a part of Carnival Corporation and currently operates four ships in their fleet.
