Carnival Adds New Cruises to Cuba from Miami in 2019

Spend a day in Havana plus one or two more island visits.

New for 2019, there will be 17 new Carnival cruises to Cuba from Miami. Carnival Sensation will leave from Miami on four- and five-day cruises, the first time for round-trip Carnival cruises to Cuba from Miami. Included on these cruises will be one or two additional ports in the Caribbean or Bahamas.

Ports of call in addition to Havana, depending on the cruise to Cuba that you choose, could be Grand Turk, Grand Cayman, Nassau, Half Moon Cay and/or Princess Cays.

These new cruises from Miami are in addition to the already-planned Cuba cruises that cruise out of Tampa aboard Carnival Paradise. Round-trip cruises to Cuba from Tampa extend into 2019.

When and where

The 2,052 passenger Carnival Sensation’s Cuba schedule includes:

• four five-day sailings to Havana and Grand Turk departing May 20, Sept. 9, Nov. 18 and Dec. 16, 2019
• five five-day voyages featuring Havana, Nassau and Half Moon Cay departing June 17, July 15, Aug. 12, Sept. 23, and Nov. 4, 2019
• a five-day cruise to Havana, Nassau and Princess Cays departing April 22, 2019
• seven five-day cruises to Havana and Grand Cayman departing May 6, June 3, July 1 and 29, Aug. 26, Oct. 7 and Dec. 2, 2019

After a recent dry dock, Carnival Sensation has added Guy’s Burger Joint, the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, BlueIguana Cantina for tacos and burritos, the cocktail pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar, and Cherry on Top sweets shop.

Other added attractions to Carnival Sensaton include WaterWorks aqua park, a Serenity adults-only retreat, 24-hour pizzeria, supervised programs for kids in three age groups.

Carnival cruises to Cuba from Miami or Tampa offer 20 different shore excursions that relate to the island’s culture, natural beauty and historic architecture and landmarks. Cuban-themed activities and entertainment are also part of the experience . This includes a Caribbean Dance Romance Playlist Productions show, Cuban-inspired deck parties, trivia contests and salsa lessons. An onboard enrichment lecturer discusses the country’s diverse history and culture.
