Carnival Vista Arrives at New Home in Galveston
When Carnival Vista arrived at its new homeport in Galveston, Texas on Sunday, the ship became the largest ship to have its homeport in Galveston. On hand for the celebrated arrival was the Carnival Vista’s Godmother, Deshauna Barber, the first member of the U.S. military to be named Miss USA.
Carnival Cruise Line now leads the pack to have the most passengers sail from Galveston. The addition of the 3,934-passenger Carnival Vista clinched it.
Port of Galveston’s close proximity to the western Caribbean enables Carnival Vista to offer two different seven-night itineraries to the western Caribbean, on alternating weeks.

Deshauna Barber added, โAs godmother, Carnival Vista remains very near and dear to my heart and Iโm proud and honored to be a part of the festivities to bring this spectacular ship to its new homeport of Galveston.โ
