Hi Liz,
I like that idea that you’re thinking to stay over here on the Space Coast rather than the Orlando Airport. There’s Courtyard by Marriott Cocoa Beach that gets good reviews. And they’re on the beach so that’s a plus, and only a 10-minute ride to the port. There are a couple of newer places to stay just a little further north on A1A – Homewood Suites and Residence Inn. I’m not endorsing any hotels. I think that the closer to the port, the better. And since I’m not familiar with the non-namebrand hotels, I’m sticking with brands I know. If you stay in Cocoa Beach, do take a walk onto the pier. It’s not fancy but provides a great view. Have fun!
