Thank you very much for reading my article and sharing your experience. I’ve been hearing much of the same from others who just recently cruised on luxury or upper-premium cruise lines late last year. It seems like it’s been a challenge for the onboard staff to gear up to where they were pre-pandemic after being idled for so long. Also finding experienced and well-trained staff has been a challenge. Eventually, Crystal, as well as other cruise lines, will have the pendulum swing back and excellent service, food and entertainment will return. It’s just going to take time, IMO. I went on Crystal Serenity in 2019 and went to Costa Rica, Panama Canal and Nicaragua. The trip was fantastic. That was the first time I went solo. The best food, the excursions and especially being pampered. The entertainment I must say was fair. I just got off the Serenity a couple of days before Christmas. The entertainment was exceptional but the food at Waterside was fair. I had to return several main dishes because they were not prepared as I asked for. They definitely must have changed some of the chefs. The waiter was excellent! I also had a problem with my Cabin Attendant. She was not experienced to be working on Crystal. I spoke to head of housekeeping and she was very apologetic but that doesn’t make it pleasant when you have to run after these people for service.

I got off Crystal Serenity today after a 2 week vacation. It was my first time traveling on Crystal. The experience was as fantastic as you described. The shows were fantastic. Service was spectacular. Thank you for writing such an amazing review.
