Carnival Panorama Adds Carnival Kitchen Hands-On Cooking Classes
Attention wanna-be cooks and chefs. Carnival Kitchen brings a hands-on cooking experience to Carnival Panorama. This will be Carnival’s first ship in their fleet to offer cooking classes and not just cooking demonstrations.
Carnival Cruise Line recently announced their new Carnival Kitchen hands-on cooking classes and culinary experiences will be led by Carnival’s accomplished chefs. Carnival Panorama is scheduled to debut in December, 2020. I’m sure this will be a very popular venue so Carnival also said that there will be more than 15 onboard cooking classes spanning an array of international cuisines.
What you can do at a Carnival Kitchen experience
- Carnival Classics Workshop Class with Dinner: discover the secrets behind Carnival’s most beloved dishes including tuna tartare from Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, saffron risotto from the Cucina del Capitano family-style Italian restaurant, and of course, the cruise industry’s most popular dessert, Carnival’s warm chocolate melting cake.
- The Orient Unknown Class with Dinner: master the flavors of the Far East by exploring the world of savory noodle dishes, silky soups, succulent satays and divine desserts that take participants on a journey through the cuisines of Thailand, Indonesia, The Philippines and more.
- Cake Workshop: follow step-by-step instructions to create a confectionary masterpiece from layering and filling to using hand-made fondant, ornate and edible decorations and more.
- Pasta Master Class: explore the art of Italian cooking and preparing homemade pasta by mixing, rolling and molding fresh dough into creative and unique shapes and pair them with delicious sauces from scratch.
Additional classes include sushi rolling, pizza making and pie baking and more. Of course, participants will be able to taste their creations.
One-hour and two-hour morning, afternoon and early evening sessions are available primarily on sea days. Each cooking class can accommodate up to 18 guests at a time.
Carnival Kitchen is located on Deck 4 aft and will have nine marbled-granite cooking and prep stations, each with their own with sinks, refrigerators and stove tops. All tools, utensils and needless to say, ingredients are included.
How much will a Carnival Kitchen cooking class cost?
Class prices will cost between $30 and $59. For those who want a souvenir of their culinary experience, Carnival Kitchen-branded items will be available for purchase.
With white and grey pattern-tiled floors and industrial décor for steel ceilings and walls, there’s also a dedicated dining area within the Carnival Kitchen. If you sign up for evening classes, you’ll be able to sit down and feast on a themed dinner included in the price

Carnival Panorama will have the first Sky Zone trampoline park at sea. Kids of all ages can swim, splash or play in the massive WaterWorks aqua park. Back by popular demand is the bike in the sky SkyRide. For dining, there’ll be Bonsai Teppanyaki and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse.
A wide range of staterooms and suites are available as well, including spa staterooms with exclusive privileges at the luxurious Cloud 9 Spa, extra-spacious staterooms in Family Harbor and tropical-inspired Havana staterooms with access to a Cuban-themed bar and pool.
Carnival Panorama debuts with a special three-day voyage on Dec. 11, 2019, followed by year-round Mexican Riviera cruises beginning Dec. 14, 2019. Voyages depart from the newly renovated Long Beach Cruise Terminal and ports include Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.
You can reserve your cooking class pre-cruise at Carnival.com or once onboard, any restaurant will take your reservation. If it were me, I’d book my cooking classes as soon as I made my deposit.
