MSC Cruises Adds Central Florida Departures in 2021
For the first time, MSC Cruises will reposition a cruise ship to Central Florida’s Port Canaveral. In March 2021, MSC Divina will have a new home on Florida’s Space Coast.
MSC Divina Moves to Port Canaveral
MSC made the announcement as they revealed their summer 2021 deployment. When MSC Divina is repositioned to Port Canaveral in March 2021, you’ll be able to choose from 3, 4, and 7-night sailings to the Caribbean. Departures will be on Thursdays and Sundays and all itineraries will include a stop at Ocean Cay Marine Reserve in the Bahamas.
All three ships, MSC Divina, MSC Armonia and MSC Meraviglia will visit Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC Cruises’ private island destination in the Bahamas.
Ocean Cay features two miles of beachfront and plenty of water sports and activities. After sunset, guests are treated to a lighthouse show, a Bahamian Junkanoo parade and dancing under the stars with live music from Bahamian artists and DJs.
Because several itineraries for MSC Divina were changed, a handful of 2021 departures from Miami and New York were canceled. Departures from Miami that were canceled are from March 28, 2021 through August 22, 2021. New York departures that have been canceled incllude September 3, 2021 through October 23, 2021.

MSC Deployments for 2021
Further south in Miami, MSC Meraviglia will depart on Saturdays for 7-night Caribbean cruises. Cruises from Miami aboard MSC Armonia are added for 3- and 4-night getaways departing on Mondays and Fridays. Sailings from Tampa aboard MSC Armonia that have been canceled extend from May 2, 2021 through October 31, 2021.
The entire MSC Cruises Spring-Summer-Fall 2021 program will have all 17 MSC cruise ships in service. Two new ships currently under construction, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Seashore will be launched in 2021 to bring the total to 19 ships at sea.
In addition to new ports and new ships, MSC Cruises will soon announce their health and safety protocols for their fleet. This will cover both passengers and crew from embarkation until disembarkation.
