Royal Caribbean Ship Departs Early Due to Container Vessel
Royal Caribbean International has notified guests sailing on Symphony of the Seas for the July 5, 2024 departure that they need to board the ship earlier than planned. Due to an inbound container vessel, the ship will now depart Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey at 3:15 p.m. instead of 4 p.m.
Guests must check-in and be onboard by 2:45 p.m. to accommodate the new departure time. This change will particularly affect those with late check-in appointments.
Symphony of the Seas, one of the world’s largest cruise ships, is an Oasis-class vessel, so it is necessary to give them ample clearance in the busy port. The ship’s overall itinerary for the 7-night cruise remains unchanged.
Early departures can happen for various reasons, such as accommodating port traffic or weather conditions. Guests are advised to stay informed during unusual circumstances and keep in touch with the cruise line.
