Carnival Paradise Returns to Tampa Following Major Refurbishment

Carnival Paradise cruises from Tampa are back!

Carnival Paradise has resumed its year-round cruise schedule from the west coast of Florida. The newly refurbished Carnival Paradise was in dry dock for a month and emerged with many of the same features and venues found on newer Carnival ships.

Among the additions are 38 new staterooms, 98 balconies added to existing staterooms, a sprawling waterpark and Carnival’s popular food and beverage options.

Cruise itineraries

Carnival Paradise five-day Caribbean cruises visit Cozumel and Grand Cayman, year-round from Tampa.

While the four-day cruises head to Cozumel, the five-day cruises visit Cozumel plus either Mahogany Bay (Roatan), Key West or Grand Cayman.

Carnival Paradise also offers four- to eight-day cruises to Cuba featuring full day and overnight calls in Havana, plus additional port calls en route.

Here’s what was added to the Carnival Paradise

• Guy’s Burger Joint

  Complimentary poolside dining developed in partnership with Guy Fieri, features their famous Guy Fieri burgers and tons of toppings.

• RedFrog Rum Bar

  A poolside bar with a Caribbean theme serving Caribbean rum-based frozen drinks and beers, including Carnival’s own private label draught brew, ThirstyFrog Red.

• BlueIguana Cantina

  A complimentary poolside Mexican eatery for authentic burritos and tacos on homemade tortillas, plus an extensive toppings and salsa bar.

• BlueIguana Tequila Bar

  Another poolside bar with a laid-back Mexican-themed atmosphere (think Cabo San Lucas) and tequila-based frozen drinks and beers.

• Camp Ocean

  Marine-themed play area for kids ages 2-11 offers more than 200 ocean-themed activities and science-oriented programming.

• Circle “C”

  Designed for the 12- to 14-year-old set, in this space, kids can simply chill or make new friends, attend dance parties, play video games and more.

• New Staterooms and Enhancements

  Thirty-eight staterooms have been added that includes two Grand Vista suites with floor-to-ceiling windows. Also added were 22 junior suites, two scenic oceanview and 12 interior staterooms. Verandahs have also been added to 98 existing staterooms.

• WaterWorks Aqua Park

  Located on Verandah Deck, this expansive all-ages water park sports an enclosed 300-foot-long Twister water slide, two 82-foot-long racing slides, and a kiddie splash zone.

• Miniature Golf Course

  Nine-hole miniature golf course has been relocated to Deck 14 (think sea air!)

• Retail and Photo Enhancements

  The retail shops have a new design and enhanced products at multiple branded boutiques, including Pandora and Guess. The photo gallery is now a digital Pixels-branded platform so you can identify and purchase images through your smartphone or at a nearby kiosk.

In addition to Carnival Paradise cruises from Tampa, Carnival Miracle also cruises year-round on six- and seven-day cruises to the western Caribbean. Plus,  Carnival Miracle also heads out on eight-day cruises that include a partial transit of the Panama Canal.
