Harmony of the Seas is Greeted by Allure and Oasis of the Seas

On hand last week in Ft. Lauderdale to greet Harmony of the Seas, were sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. The newest member of the Royal Caribbean fleet, Harmony of the Seas is technically the big sister, measuring one foot longer than Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.

The 5,200 passenger Harmony of the Seas will make Ft. Lauderdale its permanent home. In addition to having many of Royal Caribbean signature features and experiences like the FlowRider Surf Simulator, Zip-line and outdoor Aqua Theater, Harmony of the Seas claims several new features.

There’s the Ultimate Abyss, a dramatic 10-story tall slide, a gala production of Broadway’s hit musical Grease, upscale specialty dining that range from Jamie’s Italian Cuisine by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver to Royal Caribbean’s whimsical restaurant Wonderland, a unique culinary adventure for the senses, and Royal Caribbean’s famous robot bartenders.

Guests can challenge themselves to two 43-foot high rock-climbing walls, an ice skating rink (yes, there’s skate rental) three water slides, a putt-putt golf course and a nine-story zip line that soars above and across the ship.

Interestingly, Harmony of the Seas will cruise seven-night Caribbean itineraries but with rotating eastern and western ports. One option includes port calls to St. Maarten, San Juan and Labadee (Royal Caribbean’s private island), another visits Cozumel, Falmouth (Jamaica) and Labadee. A third option goes to Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Kitts while yet another goes to Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

Cruises leave every Saturday from Ft. Lauderdale’s Port Everglades and scheduled to depart at 4:30pm.
